Jesse and Melva’s Personal Transformations Blog Launches

July 23rd, 2008

Jesse and Melva Johnson are marriage counselors, authors, and speakers based in Royal Oak, Michigan.  Our team has been working on building their online presence, including a re-design of their website, as well as the development of a blog.  The objectives for the blog include:  seo/sem results, social media marketing integration, and viral/video marketing to increase their practice profitability by driving targeted traffic.

The following videos outline what we developed and what we’ve achieved in 2 short months.

The Lessons:

  1. If you have a business that functions within your local community, you should be using search engine optimization and search engine rankings to target geographically in Google.
  2. Look at your position, compared to your competitors, and makes sure you “work your way up the ladder” in rankings, to get results — rather than charging ahead in the most competitive keywords.
  3. Blogs are one of the most effective ways to integrate your social media, video/viral marketing, and search engine marketing strategies — to work together to get much faster and better results.
  4. Target your blog to YOUR audience, period.  Stop following what everyone else does and do what works for YOUR audience.
  5. Blogs are much more than personal logs of your expertise, they can be the foundation to a relationship with your audience.  As well as, a means to increase your profitability by increasing your “conversions” from audience to loyal, paying fan.

Here’s to your blog marketing success!
